Decision Intelligence and Decision Support Systems: Models, Analytics, and Human-Centered Perspectives
Decision Support Systems (DSS) are undergoing a significant transformation, evolving from traditional model- and data-driven tools into integrated Decision Intelligence ecosystems that combine advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, domain knowledge, and human judgment. Modern DSS are increasingly expected not only to optimize decisions, but also to support explainability, collaboration, robustness, and ethical accountability in complex and uncertain environments.
This special session aims to bring together researchers and practitioners working on novel theoretical frameworks, methodologies, and real-world applications of Decision Support Systems that go beyond classical approaches. Emphasis is placed on human-centered and intelligent decision support, where analytical models, AI-based techniques, and decision makers interact synergistically.
The session seeks contributions that explore how DSS can enhance decision quality in dynamic, multi-criteria, multiobjective, and uncertain contexts, while remaining transparent, trustworthy, and usable in practice. By focusing on emerging paradigms such as Decision Intelligence, explainable AI, and collaborative decision making, this session offers a renewed and forward-looking perspective on DSS research and applications.
